Abstract
Review article addresses technological innovations in laparoscopic surgery, focusing on the impact of these innovations on the management of abdominal hernias and other gastrointestinal conditions, and their effects on patients' quality of life. The objective was to analyze the benefits of minimally invasive laparoscopy, including reduced complications, improved recovery and psychological impact. The methodology consisted of reviewing articles published in the last ten years, selected from databases such as PubMed and Scopus, with the analysis of clinical trials, systematic reviews and studies that addressed the precision, safety and emotional benefits of laparoscopy. The results showed that advanced visualization technologies and robotics have contributed to greater surgical precision and safety, resulting in fewer complications, less postoperative pain and faster recovery. Furthermore, the reduction in hospitalization time and less physical invasion provide a positive impact on the psychological and social well-being of patients, favoring a more agile return to their daily activities. It is concluded that minimally invasive laparoscopy, combined with technological innovations, offers significant advances in the treatment of abdominal and gastrointestinal conditions, improving both clinical results and long-term quality of life.
